Class C towing

Considering biy a class c appreciate any thoughts to the best toad towing option, ie dolly, 4 down, trailer.

The option I see preferred more often on this forum is towing 4 down. But since people also use dollies and trailers, apparently those options have merits, too.

4-down requires vehicle modification for base plate, lights, brakes, and it limits you to approved towable models.

Dolly requires effort to load and secure the toad, and a place to keep the empty dolly.

Trailer results in the most towed weight, you need space for the trailer, trailer requires maintenance. On the plus side there is no wear on the toad, and the toad can be better protected.

In addition, you could back up a trailer. You cannot back up with a 4-down (vehicle damage results).

Dolly back up, I don't know for sure, but probably iffy. Hope someone else can chime in on that.
