Close call!
I spotted this tire going bad just before getting back on the LA freeways for my return to Texas. The thing I noticed as we were loading up was the tire was domed across the tread, not flat like the others. After removing it I could see the separation, the tread misalignment, and the wires sticking out. Perhaps 10k on the tire.

It must have then vaporized because we can't see anything!

Wasn't Castle Rock a Stephen King thing? lol, glad nothing bad happened to you. And glad they put Westlakes on my rig, not hearing so many bad things about them since they got sued a ways back.
