Correct Ball size

I just bought a used 2019 FR Cherokee Wolf Pup 16FQ. There looks like a painted over sticker on the trailers hitch. I can not identify the correct ball size but the dealer installed a 7500 2 inch ball on my Fastway E2 round bar hitch. Due to a number of points I have identified, I do not think my hitch is correctly installed.

Does anyone with a 2019 Wolf Pup 16FQ know the correct ball size? Thanks in advance. usnret30

There should be stamped numbers identifying the size as well on the tongue!

Somewhere on the trailer tongue the correct ball size will be stamped. Might be hard to read under the paint.

Every coupler I've come across the size is stamped right behind the locking lever.

Ball size is dependent on the size of the trailer coupler. The trailer coupler size depends on the gross trailer weight (GTW in the chart below). The trailer's coupler size should be stamped on it.

Ball Size,

There is indications of lettering on the hitch but it is covered by the factory paint job and is unreadable. There also seems to be some under the electric jack, also of no value.

However, I solved the problem buy purchasing a 2 5/16 ball and it will not enter into the hitch head. So my 2019 Wolf Pup 16FQ needs a 2 inch ball with a 1 1/4 inch shank as required for my E2 Round Bar hitch.

Any time I have come across lettering/numbers painted over to obscure them, I've made it a point to wire brush the area and find out what it says. It may contain pertinent information. You can always touch it up afterwards so that it remains legible.

You can also try a piece of sand paper or laying a piece of writing paper over it and use a sharpened pencil held at an angle and rub lightly. The paper/pencil trick works and many have seen it done to lift writing from notepads in movies.
