Do you like these Equalizer WDH numbers?

I wanted to double check my dealer install after hearing some of the stories of incorrect installation. I checked three times and this is what I recorded. I kept everything in 16ths for easy math.

FRONT
TV uncoupled - 35 14/16ths
TV coupled no WDH - 36 4/16ths
TV coupled with WDH - 35 8/16ths

The last one is what concerns me and why I did this 3 times. Should the front be lower with WDH? I thought the goal was to bring it close back to the original?

REAR
TV uncoupled - 35 15/16ths
TV coupled no WDH - 34 2/16ths
TV coupled with WDH - 35 2/16ths

The rear appears to be normal and expected.

When I installed mine there was very little difference in the front measurements so I adjusted by rear measurements. I had a 4" difference in the rear (no wdh) so I adjusted to raise the rear 2". I called Equalizer to get their opinion and they stated that my setup sounded right. Imo there will always be a small amount of sway no matter how it is setup. Anyway, it did well with that configuration. Recently I tried raising the L Brackets by 1 hole (raised rear of truck another 1/2") to see what effect it had. It improved the sway control a little, still assessing it. Overall the Equalizer makes a huge difference in control, the friction bar supplied by the dealer was a joke. One tip- make sure the bars sit flat on the L Brackets. This can be adjusted by loosening the brackets under load and the pressure from the bars will move the L Brackets to the right position. Btw my TT is 32' overall, 5600 lbs. Your setup looks about right, if it handles well it is good.

That is perfect in my eyes. I am a believer in "equal squat ".

If your coupled-WDH height was at or above the uncoupled height, you would have it too tight.

The fact that both are lower - pretty close to equal - I think you are doing good.

You are less than one inch lower in the front. No harm there.

Is the camper and the tv fully loaded with all the gear you are bringing to include the water tank if you travel with water

If not I'm sure the front will come up once everything is loaded

Dry on both accounts. Will test again as we prepare for our maiden voyage.

I agree that you need to set it up when fully loaded and ready to camp. The front fender should not be lower with the WDH than it is without the trailer connected. It should be more than half way back to the height when unloaded but not past that.

I would call equalizer and ask their opinion. Typically if you get back to halfway between the uncoupled and coupled with wdh, you should be good. How many washers do you have in place? I agree that if you're not loaded for travel then to do that and check again, as it could change dramatically when you do.
