Equalizer hitch parts interchangeable

I have an Equalizer hitch and the spring bars say 1000/10000.
Can I upgrade these bars to the next size higher and still use the same shank & head assembly? The manual parts list shows four different spring bar weights but only one shank & head assembly.

Thanks

No, the dimensions are different. To see what you might be able to reuse give them a call. They are very helpful (800) 478-5578 - (toll free)

What he said.
They seem very good to work with, and I don't think they would try to sell you a new head if you don't need it.

Pretty sure the heads are the same. I know the difference between the 1000 and 1200 is the size of the bars. Don't see why you can't just get new sockets where the springs bars insert. But like said before equalizer will be able to set you straight.

I seem to remember seeing the individual component weights somewhere, but I can't find them on the Equalizer or other site.

If I remember correctly, all of the spring bars were progressively thicker/heavier (as you'd expect).
The heads were also progressively heavier, with the exception of the 10k & 12k heads which were the same. I think you can upgrade from 10k to 12k by only upgrading the bars.

But again, I would confirm that with customer service first.
