Take a look at the reese 16K. If you google videos for the reese revolution you will find a few videos from reese

I have a Reese. Tows like a charm, not much chucking occasional clunks. Lube up the revolution well, that can creek and make some noise.

As far as the hitch and the pin box, the 5.5 bed is fine with the revolution without a slider. I am only commenting on the king pin and hitch

Use a std Reese 16K with my short bed Silverado and the Revolution activated. No need for a slider. Even have a full bed hard cover tonneau cover on while towing.

I have a 5.5 box and Reese Revolution using a Reese Revolution mounted with Pucks, no rails and NON SLIDER. I can turn 90 Degrees while backing in. As far as the Revolution if you wedge is setup correctly, lubed you can unhitch on a angle. I would highly recommend hitching up straight on.
Your dealer may not understand the Reese Revolution and how it works. OC tows with a revolution and may be able to add something as far as hitch choices.

BC and BC

OC was adding while I was writing..

Sounds like the dealer is trying to sell you a very expensive hitch!! Funny that he should say it only works with one of the really expensive brand sliders.

You dont need a slider if you install the wedge in the revolution. I had to educate my dealer two years ago whe. The revolution first came out. They mostly still have no clue. Go to the service desk and talk to the service guys.

IMO, if the camper already has a Revolution, you have most of the battle solved. Get it activated and you're set.
