F250 6.2L towing a Sabre 33ckts

I have a 2012 f250 w/ 6.2L gas engine and 3.73 gears. Want to tow a Sabre 33ckts. Any thoughts on this combination? Most of our travels will be in the mid west/ great lakes area and from Michigan to Florida

You didn't identify if you have a SC, CC, 2WD or 4WD. According to the Trailer
Life Towing guide, you have a max tow of 11900 to 12500 lb depending on configuration. Here's the link... http://dcd96xmek71bc.cloudfront.net/...ide_lo_res.pdf

The 33CKTS Sabre has a 2048 dry pin weight, 9767 dry weight and a GVWR of 14048 lb. The loaded pin weight/camper weight will probably be closer to 2300 and 11500 using 20% pin weight.

You'll probably be above the truck's GVWR but well under the RAWR but lots tow this way...your choice. The best would be to weigh your truck with full fuel, passengers, gear, hitch, ready to camp and get a more exact payload number. The max tow is limited with that rear ratio.

I'm towing with that truck, 4WD Lariat swb. Towing a Crusader 320RLT weighed for camping at 11480. I'm under my RAWR and about 60 lbs over on my GVWR according to my last weigh at the CAT scales. My pin weight is 2300 lbs.

As far as the 6.2L SD, it pulls my set up well, comparable to my old 7.3L diesel. It is a gas engine, so you can expect about 9 mpg while hauling and down shifting on hills; but that 6 speed trans makes the drive comfortable.
