F250 Harsh ride fixed

Sold my daily driver a few weeks ago (06 Tundra) and have had to use my 2019 F-250 TV as my daily and my opinion on this truck has not changed.
Fantastic tow vehicle, horrible daily driver!
So I remedied that last weekend
2020 Toyota Tundra DC Limited!
Love these trucks and I don’t care what the payload capacity is

Nice truck. I’m surprised you don’t like the ride of the F250. We have an ‘18 F350 CCLB at work and I find it rides smoother than our Ram 2500 with rear air. And I’m not one to like a rough ride.

For the intended purpose of our F250 being used as our TV it is wonderful.
I think because it has the snow plow prep & camper package it really stiffened the suspension up a lot.
From searching the web everyone seems to recommend changing the shocks out from the factory to something better to improve the ride.
If I was going to keep using it as a daily driver I would do that, but seeing how we are fortunate enough to have a dedicated TV we are going to leave it as is.
And once it gets the tongue weight from the trailer and the weight of all the stuff we carry in the bed it calms it down quite a bit.

We drive a VW for most driving around but I still have to take the truck to work during the week which I don’t mind. I’m debating between adjustable Ranchos, Bilsteins or go all out on some tuned adjustable King shocks this spring as the shocks are getting quite soft already.

Bilsteins is what everyone suggests on the Super Duty. They are what came on the 2020 Limited.

Check your tire pressure first. The door sticker PSI's are for a fully loaded truck. You may want to lower your tire pressure by 10 psi more or less.

The best action is to weigh the truck front and rear, then check the tire manufacturers specs for the proper inflation pressure based on the actual weight on the tires.

I run the F-250 with 50psi front 55psi rear when empty, doesn’t really make much of a difference on ride from the spec. 60psi front 65psi rear.

I run 55 psi all around when not towing. Big difference. 60 front 80 rear when towing.

Yep, great truck, as long as you ignore fuel mileage They are supposed to change that in 2021. Supposably 30mpg then......

Fuel mileage compared to the F250 it is like driving a Prius 😆
Just ran the first full tank (38 gallon on 2020) hand calculated average mixed driving was 16.2mpg.
Not bad considering my 06 Tundra with the 4.7L would only get 15mpg (F250 barely gets 11.5 not towing).

If you believe 30 mpg from any full size pickup, I've got a bridge to sell you. If fuel mpg is a primary concern when buying a pickup, most folks won't; but I get your point.

The 30mpg is the target for the new and improved 2021 Tundra because they were getting beat up so bad on this aspect (according to their article). Now to see if they are even close
My son loved his Tundra until he towed anything, then couldn't pass a fuel station
With all the new 1/2 ton options, I think Tundra would be my last choice for a daily driver........

We own two Tundras, 08,Double Cab, 2016, Crew Max 4WD. Both daily drivers, and both we use as our TV. Great trucks!

Love the tundra. Horrible on fuel, but Toyota is a great quality machine.

If I didn’t have a heavy 5er we’d likely have one to compliment our 10 year old problem free highlander.

I had two Tundras over 16 years. Combined mileage over 188K, never a problem. You were smart getting the DC VS Crew Max. You have more payload, the longer bed w/ 36 gallon tank, improvements over what I had on my 2014' 1794. Great color, used to be only on the 1794's. Many features that were standard on the Tundra were options on the new Ford F-350.

I've had Ranchos on two Jeeps and an F250. Liked them well enough, but went with Bilsteins on the current Jeep because the Ranchos always rusted and looked like crap so quickly. These were the white RS5000's...I know the 7000's have a different finish...maybe it's better than the white. I put the Bilsteins on the Jeep three NJ winters ago, and they still look great.

I've had Bilsteins and RS9000s on other vehicles. They're ok, I'm looking for something better. We'll see what our tax return is first to see what the shock budget might be.
