F250 question

This question is for Ford F-250 owners - where did you mount your backup camera monitor, gps screen, and possibly a cell phone. I am looking for ideas on where to mount my electronics.

I mount my camera monitor to my mirror by using 2 rubber bands and slip it over the left side of the mirror. I still have half my motor left to monitor my 5th wheel. I mounted it to the mirror because that is where one would normally look to see what is behind them.

What about your TPMS screen and dashcam? .
Maybe think about combining devices as much as possible with your MyFord Touch/Sync system.

F250

Yes, I also have a TPMS monitor that I need to mount to my dash. It is going to get very cluttered. I haven’t found a way to direct those items to ford sync. Has anyone done that successfully?

For device mounts on your dash, check Proclip.
High quality and the fit is perfect without drilling holes.

So far, I don't believe there is any one solution to get all that integrated into the Sync system via third party connections. Except with the Ford camera/TPMS. I do not have the TPMS (but plan to add it some day), but do have the camera, and I think it's a fine camera. I'm sure there is better out there, but to have it all go through the Sync screen is huge for me. I hate things hanging off of my mirror, windshield, stuck on my dash, wires hanging all over the place, etc. Mine is nice and clean. If I use my iPhone for anything, it sits in the pocket in front of the cup holders where the USB ports are. So, I am an advocate for a clean install. The more you get integrated into what you already have, the cleaner the install!

You can get a cheap used tablet and use that for the cameras, and GPS. Just hot spot your phone for Wayz or whatever you use. That combines 2 devices.

Rand McNally makes a trucker GPS that integrates cameras as well. Just a thought.

2017 F-250 Super Duty

Phone goes in a holder in the center console and connects to Sync 3 via Bluetooth.

No GPS as we have found Waze and/or Google Maps MUCH better.
They connect via the phone's USB cord and display on the center Sync 3 screen and allow hands free, voice navigation.

TPMS monitor sits in the center dash compartment along with other things like the transponder for paying tolls and a hand held radio (walkie-talkie type) for communicating with the rest of our traveling gang.

That leaves another compartment in the center console open for odd & ends and also allows both center console cup holders open and available as well.

I haven't seen a Ford Dash in recent years but are there any cubbyholes in the DASH? This is how I have mounted my GPS in my Dodge Dash that has some cubbyholes in it.

I fabricated a block of wood to fit the opening tightly. I then mounted part of the support bracket for the GPS unit in the block of wood using a cross screw and nut counter sunk in the wood block. See attached photo for what I am discussing.

I haven't done this yet but looks like a good solution: https://www.builtrightind.com/produc...015-ford-f-150.

I call it the command center.

I did buy a navtv with extra inputs for the F350 but I have not installed it yet. I wanted to hook the camera up to the display so I could see it in the dash. It will mean replacing the camera on the trailer to use it properly and likely hard wiring it as well.
