Don’t know about the cars but most Ram trucks already have Wi-Fi installed. Most owners don’t pay to activate it.

Guess I got lucky because I just finished a 4,300 mile trip pulling the TH and used cruise control just about always when on the open highways.

That would almost be worse. So we leave a short that would do God knows what else but just reprogram the computer to ignore the strange commands a short would give? If there is a short you have to fix the short or it will effect all kinds of things in the computer buss. You cant just reprogram the computer around it. If the flash fixes it, it is because the program has a bug.

The short would blow a fuse, trip a circuit breaker or set a fault in a module, and give an indication of such, but not cause an uncontrolled acceleration from the cruise control.
Obviously the short would then have to be fixed.
