Fiberglass sealant vs carnuba wax recommendations
Those with fiberglass exteriors, what are you using to protect your TT? Are fiberglass specific sealers best, or do you use a sealer/wax that would be used on your car? I know synthetics last longer than carnuba, but want something that applies easiest with less fuss wiping it down. What do you use?

They didn't... it's a glitch in the mobile software.
Back out of the thread after posting the photo and then go back into the thread and you'll see just one photo. Only YOU see two photos... we don't.

I've tried a couple RV specific washes, but the last time I used Simoniz wash & wax that I use and love on the vehicles. Cleans better, looks great and doesn't look as 'dry'.

Hit the button to soon, I kinda consider myself as an expert, from spotless wash to all cleaners, but I will not stand for a oxidated unit or looking like trash, I'm probably in that OC category on this subject but I really don't have much else to do, and I get bored easily.

I've read a lot of comments from people not liking the wash & wax's saying it only last for a few days, etc., but I find I don't need to wax anymore, and I'm particular about keeping vehicles looking nice. It's not as shiny as a fresh wax, but the paint never looks like it's in need of a wax, it just doesn't look 'dry' anymore. Plastics on the wife's VW don't seem to dry out anymore either. This is all related to vehicles, so I figured I'd try it on the TT last summer. I used it twice and turned out well.

Just bought a new 5er, and it has a nice finish. However, I bought the "addon" called First Place Finish. Supposedly it has a 5 year guarantee against any fade, including decals.
I probably shouldn't have bought it....I called the manufacturer (Montana) and they said I wasted my money, since their finish is high gloss and has UV protectants embedded in it anyway.

I read about a product Charles Soap, to us on RV:s , cars, trucks and so forth. I have never used anything like it, Amazing. You can wash your star all the way. You will think you waxed it when you get done. Can buy off of Amazon for $23.00 to $25.00 a gallon.

Bible that came with my CC advised to use only a wax that was designed for fibreglass surfaces. I use Nufinish (orange bottle) once a year and wash as needed in between with Mother's Car Wash liquid. This wax is excellent in preparing the nose cap for travel and then removing bug parts that accumulate. Been using for about 9 years after recommendation from another fiver.

I use Rejex on my Motor Home. Works great last about a year. Wipe on let dry wipe off.

I have been using Shurhold's Pro Polish (a marine product for fiberglass) for 4 years, it works great. It's a polymer that goes on easy and wipes off without the white powder from talc or fillers. The first time I used it, I got out my 10" orbital buffer and then realized how easy it wipes off and put up my buffer. I just wipe it off with a cloth. I can polish my 35' Rockwood in 1 day. Check out shurhold.com

I use Turtle Wax Express Shine. Spray it on, level it with another cloth and I then run a dry cloth over it because I need to feel the cloth glide over the surface. I am able to do a 27foot TT in 2 hours. Used it for 9 years on a TT we had, decals, plastic and metal and looked as good as the day we got it.
Also used it on a fiberglass boat we had for 20 years and never had an issue. The truck and the Harley get done twice a year.
In between just use Turtle Wax Wash and Shine to wash all of them.
We live in the Rust belt and never had an issue with any vehicle rusting or dulling. There are probably better products but this has worked so far and is quick and easy. Rather be riding my bike or pulling the TT than be spending excessive amounts of time polishing vehicles.

I use the Meguiars Paint Protect http://www.meguiars.com/en/automotiv...paint-protect/
Once in the spring and once in the fall. It is easy on, easy off and can be used on the plastic trim as well. The carnauba wax gives a really nice shine, but doesn't last very long.
