Fifth Wheel Hitch??

I need your help. I'am needing to buy a new fifth wheel hitch and need some advise. My Unloaded Vehicle Weight (UVW) is 10,895. And my fifth wheel vehicle weight rating is 14,000 lbs. How do I determine what size of hitch I need to buy? Will a 16K work? Seems like it jumps from 16K to 20K. Please help.

Yes, a 16K will work. Your 5th wheel is very close to mine. I use a Reese 16K slider hitch (short bed truck).

16K should be fine. Many here recommend B&W hitches. I use their turnover ball system with a companion hitch. Very solid and the bed becomes completely empty in 5 minutes when wanted

Either will work I have a 16K and and 18K my trailers gross is 14,500. If you plan on a bigger trailer in the future go with the 20K.

Reese used to make a 18k but do to lack of sales they discontinued it. I currently use a 15k Reese but will upgrade the 5r this year. Amazon offers a 20k for $450. Rail kit sold separately.

I have a fiver that came unloaded at 11,000 lbs and it can handle 14,000 lbs. The Reese 16k hitch will do very well. I have a long bed pickup.

16k B&W Patriot hitch is what I use. It's fantastic! My truck had the rails in when I bought it, otherwise I would have gone with the B&W turnover ball and the companion.
