Really appreciate all the info guys. I’m going to play with some items and get some new readings from my new tongue scale and will see what improvements I get.

Could I just be suffering cross winds with it being as long as it is? If I’m going with or against winds it’s something I really can live with. Am I just expecting too much in the fact that it should pull like my 20’ standard tandem axle car hauler loaded down? Granted those are not comparable but it is what I have to compare it too.

A long trailer has a lot of leverage on the hitch when wind pushes on the back end, whether the side winds are due to weather or from passing vehicles.

A car hauler is low and not much frontal or side area to get as much wind drag or get blown around.
I’ve hauled several boats and a couple enclosed cargo trailers but that experience only half prepared me for towing a MUCH larger box (plus none had brakes).
