If you are on mobile long press the image and choose "open image in new window" and then you can zoom that image.

The Powerboost ONLY comes with the 3.73 gearing. There's no other option for it.

That's interesting. Do you know why they would have the max tow in '19 use 3.55 and the current powerboost using the 3.73? I'm assuming the 10 speed transmission is still the same, is there a difference in the differential perhaps?

I think maybe it’s because Max tow has more to do with weight ratings and less to do with gearing? I’m sure it’s hard to compare because one is a hybrid and one isn’t.

In the end I think you can order a different gearing for the regular ecoboost with max tow. Or maybe you could in 2019…

What’s wrong with 3.73 ratio axles ? The is a camper forum. 3.73 is a good towing ratio. Besides, with the 10 speed, 1st gear is like a granny low and everything past 7th gear are overdrives.

I'm not sure. I assumed it was due to the electric motor being sandwiched in between the engine and 10 speed transmission (it's the same as the Ecoboost). You can still get the different gearing on the standard Ecoboosts, just not the Powerboost.

These are the stickers for my Lariat Powerboost as a comparison. I have the standard tow package.
