Fold-a-Cover
I had vultures destroy my fold-a-cover tonneau. Thanks Everglades NP.
Anyway, is fold-a-cover still around?
Seemingly no. Haven't called the phone number on the cover, but no website and can't buy 'em online....
So, what's my best alternative? I have the "tub" in the front 1/4 that I do like.
Bak-flip? I recall them, from when I was looking. I've researched this once. I don't really want to a second time.... Sigh...
I like the hard. I like the foldable. I like the lockable. I like the "tub". It was pretty waterproof.
Thoughts?
Thanks.

I think I have the Lomax folding cover. No way vultures will hurt it! 3 years now, really like it.

Folding Cover
I have a Gator quad fold aluminum cover that I have been really pleased with. Locks/latches on the inside, so with the locking tailgate, it's pretty good protection for my gear. It will fold up all the way to the back window, with struts to keep it open, allowing access to the entire truck bed. I got mine on Amazon.
In the open picture, the struts are not in place, but you can see them.

I did a Google search to see how and why vultures tear up vehicles. I had no idea they were destructive. Apparently they’re a real problem where you were. Who knew!

I sure didn't.
I'm pissed, for sure.
People (who knew) had tarps over their cars.

Thanks.
Looks a lot like a Bak flip.
Both missing some features I like about mine, buy my choices are getting limited.
GM direct may have sold the fold a cover, but I can't figure out the 2500HD part number to search around.

Bak-flip is the way to go, i am on my third one (due to vehicle changes over the years). I re-did the research the last time because I changed from the flip version to the roll version X4, I like it much better as it doesn't block the back window when I need the full bed uncovered. They still have the front "tub" Bakbox it works with all versions of the cover.

I have a Bakflip on my 2500 for a few years now. It was the first one to accommodate the longer bed in the 20+ GM trucks. I've been fairly happy with it. Only real complaint is that it isn't as water proof as I expected. I do like that it can be held all the way open with the struts, and isn't too hard to completely remove (leaving rails in place).
