Hitch adjustments-2 wheel to 4 wheel drive

Hitch implications-I am switching from 2 wheel drive to 4 wheel drive which will have a 3-4 inch higher hitch receiver than my present 2 wheel drive truck. I have a 4 point equalizer hitch which works well with my current set-up. I am wondering if there is anything else I have to do when the new truck arrives to get it back to level and functional other than adjusting the 4 hole/bolt system that allows me vertical adjustment up and down. (Doing this from memory as my trailer and hitch are in storage so hope I have info right!

Depending on the suspension on your new truck, you might want less weight transfer. the Equalizer weight transfer is adjusted by the number of washers. You may want one less washer is the rear suspension is stiffer.

I just went from a 2wd Nissan Frontier to the Ram in my signature. I had to get a 2" longer drop shank for my Equalizer WDH.
