Hitch or unhitch
I would like to know the pros and cons of leaving your TV hitched to your TT with WDH and everything connected EXCEPT the pig tail? Camping in a very level site with no need for leveling blocks etc. Wheels are chocked and here for only 5 nights. Come forth with your thoughts please!

If you are level and don't need the TV then I don't see any issues

If you're there for 5 nights, I'd probably unhitch,if for no other reason than to just to take some play out of the trailer. If it's a one night stopover, that's a different story.

I don’t quite know what you mean by “play?” The wheels are chocked and the stabilizers are down-the trailer is not moving at all!

Could be with yours. Just saying that with mine, due the Ram's soft suspension, even with the tongue jack and stabs down there's still a little bounce in the trailer. Only way around that is to raise the tongue enough to take all weight off the truck, which would take me out of level. At level, the truck's suspension would cause some play.

I believe strongly in energy conservation.
If my site is level and the trailer likewise when I back in, I don't bother to unhitch unless I need the truck for a trip to town or such. With the stabilizer jacks down, the truck's parking brake on, no movement of the trailer. For my setup it's actually more firm when hitched with absolutely no fore/aft movement.

Why not prepare ahead and just toss a couple of cases in when you pass the last supermarket on your way to your destination. Put the extra gas money into beer.

For 5 nights, I’d unhitch in the unlikely event of a health emergency. I wouldn’t want to take extra moments to unhitch if I had to GTFO in a hurry.

That’s what my brother did on a one night stop that had a tornado near miss. Pulled the pin, pulled the safety chains and drove away (7-pin was already unhooked). Next morning had to reset the WDH, plug the breakaway back in, etc....

Exactly I mean it wouldn't be ideal, but given something like a tornado, I'll take my chances with what I might damage vs my family.

I should have mentioned we have our car with us too which would suffice in getting away in a hurry. I was also thinking having the TT hitched up to the TV would allow a better chance of getting everything out in a hurry. So far everything seems really solid-I’ll leave it hitched for this trip. Without the car I wouldn’t do it.

Interesting. I wouldn’t have thought about that option. You’re right, it would be quick.
I was more thinking about raising the coupler off the ball and the hassle/time involved in that. But pulling the pin and letting the hitch pop out of the receiver is a good emergency alternative.

Mine is usually so tight from being in a bind it would be faster for me to just hit the button on the jack.

Unless you have a "Reese Dual Cam or any type of W/D with Chains,or a Hensly or Pro Pride"! If under load just "Removing the PIN" is/can be a Real challenge itself! Youroo!!
