Doesn't sound like your pushing the limits. I think you'll be fine. Happy camping!

It sounds like you F150 should be fine with that RV.

Just don't load a full bed of fire wood and tow at the same time!

Agreed on all counts. My 2013 is loaded the same , bed weight is crucial. Due to ash borer we buy wood locally now.

Love my 2014 ecoboost. Did you put the relay in the fuse box for battery charging? Page 225 of your owners manual shows u the position. My ford dealer (and most I heard) dont install the relay.

Scoot, I have a 2015 F-250 Diesel. Are you saying I should check to see if the relay is installed or else the battery in the TT will not be charged while connected to the truck?

F250's come out of the factory all hooked up. You can test it with a multimeter (engine on).

I down loaded the manual for your year and truck, and your trailer battery charge is relay 90 Enclosed are the pictures for the fuse and fuse box. My fuse box is located right in front of the engine when I open the hood. I found the fuse in my glove box. I hope this helps

When I read the title of the thread I figured that yoiu already knew that you were goning to compromise yours and everyone elses safety on the highway you are real close to having a 3500 instead. I hope this isn't a TT.

How do you figure he's close to a 3500 towing well less than 10,000#

If he has the Max Tow package like he stated, the fuse is already there because it comes standard with the brake controller. The only time you have to add a fuse is if you don't have the Ford brake controller. In other words if you have to add a brake controller then you have to add the fuse.

For your payload, remember to add the loaded trailer tongue weight, passenger and pet weight, fuel weight, and weight of anything else in the bed of the truck - generator, tools, bicycles, cooler, etc. Gasoline weighs approximately 6# per gallon.

Gas 200 lbs, Passengers 350, tongue weight 850 (battery, propane) added, cargo 200 lbs total 1600 lbs. Close but with the weight distribution hitch I should be fine.

Actually on the F150 Ford puts the fuse and relay in the glove box of the truck. I found this out when I took my trailer in for service and the battery was dead on the trailer. The tech new exactly what it was and installed them in about 2 minuets. He said they are all that way.

I remember when I bought my truck the salesman knew I was buying it to tow and he took the fuse out of my glove box and put it in for me.

There was a time I would have said I wouldn't try to tow much with an F150. Then I started reading about the Ecoboost Fords. I think I've changed my mind a bit...
