If its too good to be true........

This past summer I bought another TOAD for my Coachmen Concord. A previous owner has apparently used it for the same purpose as it had tow brackets and wiring. The tow brackets didn't match my system, so had to get new ones, but I was able to use the existing wiring. Bad idea. On our second trip, the tail lamps on the RV died. I bought new ones even though it's a 2015 model. Didn't help. Since the chassis was still under warranty, I was able to get it fixed at no charge. Turned out to be several fuses that I couldn't find. Checked the lights at dealership and they were okay. Got home and hooked up TOAD, and no lights worked on it. Had new wiring installed but used existing 4 round plug to connect to RV. Still no luck. Then I bought a new 4 round plug and a new cable from RV to TOAD. Finally, everything worked. Lesson learned - don't assume used stuff is good to go. Buy new and be safe!
