I figure about 7500# trailer weight as I usually do not carry water tanks loaded
... what about your return trip. You will have more weight with your gray and black water coming back. You will not carry any clothes, food, drinks, etc. in the trailer?

What is the max payload of your Yukon .... 1,400#? That number is dependednt on options ... it is specific to your truck. Hitch weight on your empty trailer is about 700# unloaded (spec) so that leaves 700# for a full tank of fuel, you and your passengers, your gear in the back of the Yukon. SUV's are not the best tow vehicles unless you have a very small and light trailer which an almost 11,000# GVWR trailer is not.

Well just got home from our maiden voyage with our new Cardinal. So took a few photos. We went to our favorite campground Tropical Palms in Kissimmee, Fl and used our passport America card. What a deal those are. We have the Front Livingroom. Love it. can't wait to go full timing. Just have to get everything sold GRRRR

Well after 4 months of looking at trucks, finally found the one, a low mileage 2012 F150 FX4. I've had it for a week and love it. Leaving shortly for our first trip of the year to Lake in Wood, our local favorite campground in south eastern PA. My wife is happy I've finally found a new truck cause she was tired of me showing her trucks on my iPad every night. I actually enjoyed the process. The other model truck I was looking at was the Nissan Titan.

Gave mine a good washing yesterday. For the outside, I manned the hose and my father-in-law worked the brush. I then did all of the windows inside and out and vacuumed it.

Tell me it's normal to need a ladder just to wash your windshield?!

So that's why all of the 1/2-tom guys are jealous. They don't get to be cool and use a ladder to washer their windshield...

I barely ever wash my truck. I can't imagine how much more rarely I would wash it if it was a big daddy truck like yours!

Hubby wants a toolbox. He can't figure out how to get to it though. LOL We have a Ram 3500 8 ft bed. That is like driving a semi to me. When we go full time. I'll be driving that to get around places. UGH

And I do need to do the inside of the windows. We have dog art on the back windows.

Yep- Ram 3500 dually; in-bed toolboxes would be fairly inaccessible!

You can get low profile toolboxes that fit between the fifth wheel hitch and tailgate. They're short enough to not interfere with the pin.

And driving it- you got this! My wife drives the truck all over with no hesitation!

He's been researching toolboxes He also wants a tonneau cover. Oh I've driven the truck. It's just that it fits in no parking spots and I'd like a smaller car to run errands in. But that won't work. Can't triple tow in most states.

Trailer life (magazine) just arrived today, they had a write up regarding an in bed toolbox that may be worth looking at.
