I posted that from my phone. Don't know why it came up like that. I'll post a better one tomorrow from my laptop.

I picked up a 1986 International S1900. It has a DT466 with 6 speed. She needs help, but it will be cool when I am done. In the next week or so I hope to pick up a 2003 Flagstaff 8528rlss. I would also like to say the Forest River Forums are great. I can see I will be getting a ton of info here.

Thanks.
Tom

i think i would be looking into getting airbags for the rear of that thing, or taking some springs out of the leaf pack to smooth the ride. looks like a cool project tho and keep us posted on progress

I was looking at it yesterday thinking the same thing. Air bags would be nice, I will have to get a price. If I took out some springs I will have to add a block so I don't drop the ride height too much in the rear. And the question is how many springs and which ones?
I really want to make it work. I love big trucks and I can put some money into it because it was free. The truck has 198,000 on it and the engine has 23,000 miles on it.

Thanks...
Tom

maybe the weight of the trailer will smooth it out some before you spend too much on it. might not even be required.
