Talking Looking for a SMALL towable car

I am looking for a towable SMALL car. I am thinking of a Geo or a Suzuki or a Smart car (towable) for sale? What do you all think and any help please.
Thanks, Chris and I am in the Reno area but can go get it....

A 2dr Jeep JK is pretty small, very towable and holds its value well. 4,000 pounds.

Check out the Dinghy Towing Guides here: https://www.motorhome.com/download-dinghy-guides/

The guides list the weight of the towable vehicles. We also wanted a lightweight toad, so we tow a Ford Fiesta that weighs 2500 pounds.

This Forum is not for selling things. There is our Forest River Classifieds, where things Rv-related things, that are for sale, can be listed.
https://www.forestriverclassifieds.com/
You might find a vehicle there. I know many have sold their tow vehicles there.

The Forum is here to provide information and assistance with their RVs, from other members. Not for marketing.

A Geo??????

I just searched for both private sellers and dealers and there are only 10 listed for sale in the entire country. (No, this wasn't a CL search - those listings aren't all that reliable).

I'm thinking you might have equally good luck searching for a Yugo.

BikenDan,

You might give me grief for this, but that's OK, you're big brother and have a job to do I guess.

The poster isn't SELLING anything - he's asking if anyone has one.

Would "If anyone has a used 3500w generator for sale please PM me" be a violation of the rules?

How about "I need a 'thingamajig' or a ''hatchamacallit" - if anyone has one please let me know, I can't find one anywhere" ... would that be acceptable?

My point is that the poster is not SELLING anything, he/she is LOOKING for something.

Go ahead, spank my fingers now

Look at post #5.

"So does anyone on here have one for sale please ? ? ? ? ?"

I didn't say the OP wanted sell something, they want someone here to sell THEM a car.
Therefore my post and why i pointed them to the Forest River Classifieds site.

2014 Ford Fiesta or Focus - either is automatic, 4 door, roomy, small, light, inexpensive, easy to tow - just put it in neutral. Have towed ours 100k+ thousands of miles...

Are you planning on tow dolly or 4 wheel down towing? You'll have to confirm IF a vehicle may be towed 4 wheels down. Just putting an automatic transmission in neutral is not usually acceptable. However, most 4 wheel drives also have a transfer case neutral that allows 4 wheel down towing. So a slightly bigger "towd" for the benefit of no dolly hassle.
Just checked the 2008 & 2019 Ford Towing Guides I have on file. Some of the automatics are 4 wheel down towable but they are limited on speeds.

Is this what you are looking for? I love mine, I have had her for about 12 years. There are very few like this out there, most have been heavily modified. Mine is mostly stock, set up for and very easy to flat tow at about 2000 lbs. 1991 Suzuki Samurai, fuel injected, 4wd, 5spd manual. Super reliable, simple design, easy to work on, great parts availability.

With our sob we have a 2013 Ford fiesta Se manual, loaded power everything.
comes in at just under 2,400 lb. I don't even feel it back there, just see it on the cam.

No steering lock, no need for a key in the ignition, just drop it in neutral and release the parking brake and off we go.

I like to Geo's a lot. But I just can't find any tow cars with the tow bar on them so I know it is ready and when I buy it I have a way to get it home...

We've been towing a Ford Fiesta all wheels down since 2016 and absolutely love it. Ford has unwisely stopped making Fiestas, but there a few 2018 and 2019s on dealers lots.
