Made the move to HD

Pulled the trigger on a 3500 HD today. Looked at a 2500 as well. They were the exact same price and I didn't notice any difference in the ride. 3600 pounds of payload vs 2100 in the 2500. Can't wait to pull the camper and experience the difference from my half ton. Too bad we tried a seasonal this year so I won't be moving the camper until November!

You will love it! We have a 2015 short bed like that, 117,000 and no real problems so far.

Thanks! That's great to hear. It's my first diesel and I was a bit worried with all the talk of emissions issues.

Congratulations! Nice truck. You will be so much more happy towing than you'll ever believe.

117k on a 2015?! I'm not sure I could handle that much window time. My 2004 doesn't even have 117k yet.

Thanks for all the replies everyone. I really can't wait to tow with it.

Definitely agree with the comments on the hood scoop. I drove another brand (I'll avoid the brand wars) and it was nice but not for me. I had my wife and kids with me, we pulled into the Chevy dealer and my wife said she saw the fireworks going off when I saw this truck. I just loved the look of it and well, the rest is history.

First of all, allow me to say, dam nice looking truck. I also made the change in 2016, went from a 2001 2500HD gas to a 2015 2500HD diesel, there is no comparing the two when it comes to towing and fuel mileage. My first diesel also and I will never go back to a gas powered truck.

B.e.a.utiful... We love our 2008 3500. 132000 miles and only issue has been the no. 8 glow plug that I replaced over the winter. Other than that zero issues. The grin never goes away while driving a diesel. Congrats.
