Manual slider
Was looking for some input on some options for a manual slider hitch. Is one better that the other, ease of use , weight. 16k is more than I need. Have a short bed GMC (6'6"). Thanks for any info

Look at a Reese Sidewinder. Any slider is way too heavy and they all seem to bind when you need them most.

Sorry, must of touched a nerve . Several of my friends have sliders, manual and auto. They all work fine in level RV parks, but typically bind in the unlevel forest. A few have even switched to sidewinders
Glad yours work for you.

That's funny,. You are the one that said my post was BS. I was just explaining why I think sliders are worthless.

I have a manual slider...yes it is heavy...I just leave it in....with a 6.5f bed it's almost useless anyway...I have 2 trailers for hauling. I bought mine on Craig's list for $150 with the rails.
