Max 5th Wheel Pivot Angle

Just completed my first weekend trip with the arctic wolf 3660. All went great but being the first time towing a 5th wheel had a question. Have a b&w companion slider, what is the max side to side pivot? The exit to the campground has a decent incline followed by direct 90 onto flat ground. Currently have 8" of clearance between the camper and top of bed rails. Turning off that incline today the bottom of the camper hit the top of my tri fold tonneau cover that was folded up. Is this too much of a angle to the side? What can this hitch head handle and what happens if that is surpassed? Should I raise me hitch one level its on the lowest right now.

It's really hard to tell from photos because of camera angles but you already look nose high on the 5th wheel (even with what looks like a lot of squat on the truck) so raising the hitch probably isn't a good idea. Besides, 8" of clearance should be plenty. 6" is the usual recommendation.

When zooming in on your photo, one of the drawbacks of the trifold bed covers is the amount they stick up when folded. You might think about a roll up style or remove yours during travel.

I'm surprised how squatted this looks with a 350. Granted I have a long box but a a little higher hitch weight and it hardly squats at all.

Side note: that combo does look nice together!

Maybe on the way out, you can fold your trifold up against the rear window. No sure if they all do that but mine does.

Just be sure not to turn so tight that you hit it. Then once your off the incline, you can lay it back down.

I have a short bed truck with a TRI-Fold Tonneau cover also. But I take my cover off and leave this in the garage at home when ever I tow my fiver. Just one more thing to worry about so, the cover stays home.

As far as the rear squat I would do two things. First weight the truck and trailer to find out what the rear axle weight is. I would also look into an air bag system for your truck. I use the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 series with an onboard wireless air compressor Gen 3, Kit 72000. This keeps the truck level when I am towing.

In the picture it also looks like the pin box is behind the rear axle. Sorry after zooming in I am wrong.

Hitch

Looks like the hitch is way back. Do you have the slide engaged? With my F-350 when 14K trailer is attached, less than 1 1/2" squat. Maybe just the way the photo is taken.

Went and got weighed and here are my numbers. Now this was after work so not completely camp ready, I did not have the kids, propane are about half full and no clothes in the camper but none of that should effect it too much. Also measured total sag is 1-3/4" so maybe my picture just looks off and it really isnt?

Wanted to update, I measured and only about 1-3/4" of squat. That picture is messed up, I took a new one this weekend. Does this look better? Bought air bag but think Im going to return them as it rides great right now

That's why I said it's hard to tell from photos.
Camera angles can make things look completely different.

Even in your last photo, the shadows on the sidewalls appears to look like delamination!
