That's weird, we have the same type truck and even pulling out of our muddy, swampy shop I've never had mud past bumper level. Are you running stock wheels and tire size?

Yup. All factory tires and wheels. With the factory mud flaps, the rear tires would fling mud up on the fenders at an angle that gets higher than the top of the bumper. It might be that the muddy soil is clayey. I go very slow to start but a lot of the mud doesn’t leave the treads until I pick up speed.

Briyoung, I just noticed that your signature says you have a long bed so that might help your situation. Mine is the short bed, 4x4.

I had something kick up and hit my landing gear switch on my fifth wheel and it broke. I have since been running these on my 2017 F-250 and they work well.

Maybe look into some wheel flares. Every kind I've seen extend about 2-3" past the oem wheel flare, maybe that will catch the higher stuff.

Thanks. I’ll look into that if the new DuraFlaps don’t deflect everything.

Well, first test of the DuraFlap extra long mud flaps went pretty well. The tires were throwing clayey mud as expected since we had some rain the day before we left for the first trip of the year. The flaps reach down to about 8-10” above the ground so some mud did get flung back under them and hit the front of the TT but they did stop the vast majority of the mud. They blocked everything that got flung above the bottom of the DuraFlaps so I’m happy about that. I may eventually decide to invest in the Rock Tamers to block what gets under the DuraFlaps but we’ll see how these flaps work for a while. The motorcycle needs new tires first.
