Parkguy60 - Yeah, I'm in beautiful Rockford! I have an Equalizer hitch. I had a 4K version for my Roo and I've got a 6K version for my Mini Lite. I did get the sway bracket jackets; they cut down on some of the squeaking these things tend to make.

My 2009 Silverado was "OK" for my Mini Lite out here in Illinois/Wisconsin/Indiana, but I'd been thinking of a larger truck for mountain running. Wasn't going to pull the trigger this year, but a problem with the 1500 drove me to taking the plunge. Happy so far on towing, but my towing mileage has dropped from 10 to 9 mpg. I've only got 2000 miles on it, though, so I'm hoping it will go back up to 10 after it get broken in.

I just wonder what all you folks will do when diesel returns to it's +$4.00 per gallon level...and it will at some point in the not to distant future...

Be a lot of park the rig in the driveway and 'pretend' camp I suspect.

That's a nasty sideways comment! If any of us were worried about fuel costs we wouldn't of gotten into RVing in the first place. Hope your day gets better....

Not just the Diesel folks, but all others too. $4 prices all the way around, whether it be Diesel or Unleaded Regular Gas would be a hit in anyone's pocket who owns a TV pulled, or driven unit. No one is immune at those prices.

As is said, "if you're going to own a boat, you can't worry about the gas prices". Same goes for the RV World. Just have to budget and plan accordingly.
