Need a new 2020 Silverado SRW 3500HD

I wasn’t planning on getting a new truck but the 2020 Silverado 3500HD came out. I don’t want a dually, I like SRW trucks. The new Silverado SRW can tow 20,500lbs. I may need a crew cab, more grandkids to haul around. Plus I have warranty again. I took truck to the shop on Monday and I thought it would be about $500 bucks to fix, the shop found some other things wrong with my Silverado, they had to be fixed, $1775.00 out of pocket. I’ll be looking at a LT model. 200,000 miles on this 2012 Silverado, it’s been a good one. Recently I thought I had trouble with the diesel mixing with oil but all it was I didn’t know how to correctly check the oil, after 7 years who knew. A diesel shop told me if that was the problem then I was looking at a crated engine, around $12,000 dollars. I would get warranty but that’s a lot money to pull out the bank at one time. Probably have to borrow some. Anyway that got my attention.

What is it you are asking? would it be better to spend the money on a new truck with a warranty or better to get a new created engine with warranty at about one sixth the cost of new?
