If you leave the sleeve in and you live in an area where they use road salt, you have to remove it when not in use or after one year you will never get it out. It will be permanently rusted in. Here in Wisconsin, most people remove their insert when they are not towing.

Due to the height difference in my new 250 and my old Chevy I had to buy a new lower drop shank for my WD hitch to make the trailer level so I went with a 2.5" shank from etrailer. I also purchased a 2 .5 x 7 3/4 drop shank for my boat and utility trailers. No reducer sleeves.

I have a 2019 f250. Mine was under the rear seat in the storage compartment. My dealer installed it during the dealer prep. You should not have to buy one it comes with the truck. It’s just slides in the receiver to make it smaller.

My '19 also did NOT come with one. I also heard they no longer provide them with the '19's. I think maybe some dealers put it in as a bonus. I bought one from Wal-Mart. No issues with it so far, though to be fair, I haven't had the truck that long.

Need Ford receiver hitch help please

My 2018 350 DRW came with a 3” receiver with both 2.5 “ and 2” adapters. Someone could have borrowed it. They are available at most RV stores and etrailer.

I keep mine secure with a Reese hitch pin lock...

Always there when I need it.

My 2019 F350 came with adaptor sleeve. I saw F250's with adapter sleeve on the dealer lot also. Either it is under/behind the seat or someone took it off. Dealers often strip something form one vehicle to put on another that is short ie: floor mats, hitch accessories, adapter sleeves.
But it is supposed to come with the sleeve on 2019

X2! As Flybob said, it's very easy to leave it in the receiver. I painted the new one white on the end.

"Need all help please" That is the title of your post. That type of title is not helpful to others that may have the same problem later on. Please state the actual problem for a title.

My 2019 F350 came with the sleeve. If not there when it rolled off the delivery truck it should be in the truck under rear seat as others have said and part of the dealer prep to install it.

I’d advise against using the sleeve, I’ve been using the sleeve & bent two hitch pins last year towing about 9k with my 2015 F350. I’m switching to a 2.5” drop hitch this year if I don’t go 5er first, either way I’ll never tow heavy with a sleeve.

Wow.. I have been pulling my trailer with an F350 and we probably put 10k on it last year. I've never seen that before.

I never had any issues with the sleeve bending my hitch pin however, I did make the switch to the 2.5 drop shank when I picked up my new Husky Centerline TS and it is nice not using the sleeve and eliminating the play/slop.

I glibly showed a standard ball mount for a 2 1/2" receiver. I'll echo this comment for a WDH. Buy the right part if you have a WDH and replace the 2" with a 2 1/2" There's already plenty of slop between the receiver and the mount. Using a sleeve exaggerates that slop and puts all the strain on the hitch pin to cope with that slop.

It might be a $100 unpleasant surprise, but your whole RV investment hangs on this connection.

Must be the GM sleeve is much better as mine is a tight fit and in the 8 months I pulled my TT with it (8000 pounds) with WDH I never got any rattle from it.

I bought a nice heavy duty steel lock (not from Walmart or CW) to replace the standard pin (still use that lock to keep the sleeve from growing legs) and no bending whatsoever.

I think that if anyone is getting rattle from the sleeve or wear on the pin then perhaps the WDH isn't set up correctly, otherwise there shouldn't be any slop.

It's a pretty well documented concern about the Ford hitches being sloppy. I had read about it prior & felt it when installing the sleeve but figured that since enough people are doing it then it must be ok. It's not & after seeing the brand new Reese hitch pin in the photo bending I figured moving forward I'll just get the 2.5 draw bar.

Try a better pin, or better yet, a good steel lock/pin.

Might be all you need...

Bought mine at a trailer hitch shop in Denver.

This it the one I have:

I had our hitch (rated for 2000 lbs) installed by U-Haul. I had to modify the original order to get a 2½" hitch. Also had to buy a sleeve from them.

I view the sleeve as being useful only for those infrequent towing occurrences such as renting a small utility trailer or moving Uncle Fred's trailer from there to way over there. There are plenty of drop bars available in the needed sizes which should make the need for a sleeve a rare occurrence indeed.

There has to be some tolerance to get the sleeve in the receiver and then more tolerance to get the bar in the sleeve. I suspect the 2 pieces move independently. Add a 4 ton load to the mix and I can see why stuff gets worn and bent
