Need some advice on new TV

After much debate (gas vs diesel), searching on the forum, "loving" conversations with the DW and a few specific posts, I've finally decided on my new TV. I'm going to replace my 2013 Ford F150 Supercrew 5.0 V8 with a 2016 Ford F150 Supercrew with the 3.5 ecoboost engine and max tow package. I'm pulling at 2016 Vibe 250BHS that weighs less than 7,000 pounds so this will be a perfect match. Here's where I need some feedback. In my area, it's very hard to find a Supercrew with the max tow package and when you do they are all 4x4. I don't really have a need for 4x4 and understand it actually decreases you max towing because of all the additional components so what would you guys do? Would you just suck it up and buy the 4x4 or would you hold out and wait for a 4x2 to come up somewhere. I'm not in a big hurry but also don't want to special order it. Just trying to see what others have done or if you see any benefit to the 4x4. The other option is to not do the max tow package which opens up a ton of options but I'm not sure I want to sacrifice this especially since I want this to be my last truck for awhile. So thanks in advance for all the feedback and advice and hopefully this will help make my decision even easier.

What's wrong with the 2013?

Has the 5.0 V8 and is just struggling to pull consistently. The ecoboost will help with that.

I tow 9,000 lbs with a slightly larger engine and a heavier truck. 22,000 miles and over 10,000 in the mountains. If you are not at 4000 RPMs going up a big grade you are not using the full potential of your truck. The Ecoboost is a good engine, but so is the 5.0. Maybe you just have new truck fever.

To answer your original question, since you are going to be taking a hit by trading a fairly new truck, I would wait for the 4X2 that has everything you want. Much cheaper too. Since you already have a perfectly good truck to use right now, why buy expensive items that you do not want or need. In the mean time put your truck in tow haul mode and press the pedal. Don't be afraid of whatever RPM it wants to run at and It will get you there.
