New Ram TV

We just upgraded our tow vehicle from a Honda Ridgeline to a 2015 Ram 1500 with 5.7L Hemi. It has the 3.92 gear and 8 speed auto trans. Our 21fbrs was at the top end of the Ridgline we had. This will handle our current unit with ease and also allow us some future growth should we decide to upgrade the trailer. It has the Big Horn Option pack with all the towing pack.

Congrats! Nice ride. I've been considering a Ram 1500 w/3.92 myself.

Congrats! Not sure how heavy your unit is, but just be open to buying some add-ons (airbags, Timbrens, etc) to help reduce rear end squat. Those darn coil springs on the 2012+ 1500's are really soft. But, they do make for a smooth unloaded ride.

Thanks Brian, I will keep that in mind! Our 21FBRS is pretty light so I do not expect an issue there... If we upgrade in couple years, I will surely check into what you are suggesting.

It has the tow mirrors... we test drove one with and I was sold.. we found the unit we liked but without the mirrors, dealer found the same unit with the mirrors (and a couple other features) and brought it in for us.

You won't be disappointed! I got mine last year when we had a 23ft Crossover (3300 lbs dry) and we recently upgraded to a new GW 26DBH that weighs 2200+ lbs more. I get the same mileage! Tows it at 64 MPH at between 1900 and 2400 RPM depending on if it will drop into 8th Gear or not! AWESOME truck!

I have a 2014 Ram 1500 and I am towing 390QSMB, I have installed Firestone airbags, it does great as long as I don't rush it. She runs right down the highway and I get better mileage than I did with my travel trailer

Our new Laramie is equipped very much as yours and it tows out 6,000 lb wildcat Maxx like a dream.Only difference between the 2 trucks would seem to be we ordered ours with the 4 corner air suspension. Couldn't find one on the lot optioned like we wanted with the air suspension so ordered it and waited 7 weeks for it to arrive, well worth the wait in my opinion. Good luck with the new tow vehicle, they are SWEEEEEET for sure!
