Well I did it. I pulled the trigger on a new to me 2017 F-250 to pull the camper. When we purchased the camper last fall we knew this would be necessary as the F-150 I had fell just shy in just about every category you could think of when I comes to towing. All winter I kept trying to justify keeping the F-150 and making things better by adding this or that but in the end I knew that wasn’t the answer and would just be a bandaid.
I’ve been watching truck prices all fall and winter as I like to be prepared so when this one popped up locally I knew it was priced fair and headed to check it out. They let me take it over the weekend and I went through it real good. In the end they gave me a great trade in value on my F-150 so I pulled the trigger and purchased it. I’m excited now to get it hooked up and towing without having g to worry about not having enough truck for the trailer.

Just got back from the first trip with it and what a difference it is versus the half ton. I don’t want to say you don’t notice the trailer is there but I will say on some long stretches of smooth road it kinda slips your mind that your towing a large trailer. It was also very nice just loading it up with everything we wanted and not being worried about weight. First picture is the totals from my driveway to the camp ground, some sight seeing and back.
