New Tow Vehicle
I suppose my new camper (last summer) needed a new truck too. 1st time ford owner although I driven Fords at work for many years(CrownVics/Explorer PI's)
Anyone with '17 6.2 3.73 feel free to let me know how you like your truck

I have a 2016 F250 6.2L Lariat CC SRW 3.73 2WD
I tow a Flagstaff Super Lite 27 BEWS with this TV.
Towing, stopping, passing and extra power when needed on a grade are no problem. I cancel out the overdrive (6th gear) and do not use the cruise control so that I may control the shifting. The truck seems to be at it's best performance around 75 mph, and I swear if I had a good flat run the thing could do 90 mph, but I do not exceed 70 mph unless passing.
There was a post on here awhile back from an owner of the same identical TV.
He talked about using the M (Manual) shifting selection and said that it was a completely different and better performing towing truck. I have tried to find that post with no luck.
Another comment I remember on here was about the gas mileage. I thought the comment of burning a quarter of a tank of fuel in one hour was wrong, but turns out, it is true. Top your tank off while towing and you will probably see the same result. Gas stops are frequent and best planned. Google Maps street view is your friend for this.
But while I have the ear of the gallery here let me ask about towing a 5er with this truck.
We are looking at doing what most people with TTs do, upgrading to a fifth wheel trailer. The rig I have settled on has a dry weight of 10090 lbs. and a pin of 1990. My payload is 3126 and a max tow of 12400. Between available payload and remaining tow weight I calculate almost 3500 lbs. of available cargo/load. I believe I have room for the "real numbers" (actual weights) and cargo to safely tow this 5er and will have room to spare.
Any thoughts by those already towing similar weights and trailer types are welcome.
Thanks
RMc
