New Tow Vehicle

Iím getting a new tow vehicle. I would like to some feedback. I donít want to start a brand war as I have chosen Ford. I have a 2018 ForestRiver 30HDS Toy Hauler weight is 7600 dry weight. With two motorcycles in the back probably 10,000. The tongue weight is 1320. Iím looking at a 2018 F250 gas engine 4x4 176Ē wheel base 4.30 gears. GCWR is 22,000 and max weight distribution is 14,800 according to specs. I will be using a Blue OX Sway pro 1500 WDH. Does this sound like it will work? Should I add any other features to help towing. Thanks

I tow a T27RKSS with a F150
The heavy duty tow package with heavy springs and brake controller make it work fine.
I also use a weight distributing hitch with sway control on both sides - stops the sideways push from larger passing trucks.

F250 gasser with 4.30's is an awesome tow vehicle, easy to drive and maintain.

Go for it.

Upper 14's MPG around and about (Dirt township road and rural highways)

Lower 15's MPG on the freeway at 65 to 70 mph.

Lot's of payload. The "G" transmission is great.

We have a 2017 F250 gasser with 3.73s. Sounds like you have covered all your bases.

Sorry for not knowing, but what is a "G" trans?

Thanks for the feedback back. I just got back from the dealer and I have to double check all the numbers for payload and towing. Do you have any info on the mpg when towing? Just curious

Just my 2 cents. Price an f350. You’ll enjoy the payload for very little extra cost.
