New tow vehicle

My wife and I purchased a new truck this past summer after I killed my second 1500. We finally stepped up to a 2500. I am now towing with a 2016 Ram 2500HD. This was the best decision I have made. We had a 2013 Shasta revere it weighed in at 6300lbs dry. I had all the towing stuff on a 2011 Ram 1500 outdoorsman. It was rated to tow 10500 lbs but the payload was what killed it. It pulled well at first but as the suspension got weaker I found myself “ improving” my suspension on a yearly basis. New shocks and air bags with weight distribution hitch and all that Jazz. It did well but I was never really comfortable. Prior to that we had a 2003 gmc 1500 I killed a hat after one drain of towing as it wasn’t heavy enough. We killed the transmission during our sixth trip with the Shasta. Now we have a 2019 Cherokee 274rk it’s supposed to be 6600lbs dry I haven’t weighed it yet as I just got it last weekend. But the new 2500 pulled it and stoped it with absolutely no issue at all it was a pleasure to tow with the new bigger truck. Any way I wil post a pic of my new tow vehicle. The silver truck is my new one the black truck was my old one.

Congrats.
Diesel or gas?
My SIL traded his 2500 4 direct RAM diesel for a similar new gas unit.

It is a gas 6.4 liter Hemi. I wanted to stick with gas because I use this as a daily driver.

Congrats on new trailer and truck. You’ll be happy with the 2500 Hemi. I’ve owned a diesel 2500 previously and just bought a new one with the 6.4 gas motor. I prefer the gas motor between the 2 so far. They both have pros and cons, just my preference as of now. I towed our Rockwood TT with the 6.4 Hemi, it’s approx 9100 lbs dry and it performed well. The heavier chassis will make it more pleasurable and your cargo capacity will be over what you’ll actually need. Congrats again.
