2018 Model. TV is 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 Diesel. Are Anderson no bounce no sway WDH the best way to go. That is what i am leaning towards. Dealer wanted 600 for an E brand. Tried to find it online. All i could find was E2. Is that the same company. Also considering equalizer. Jusy want something quiet and east to install and remove without worrying above reverse, tight turns or weather. Any advice? I am a newbie, so any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

IMHO, I would only use the Anderson WDH on shorter and lighter trailers.

You can get the real 4pt Equal-i-zer from RVW for around $450 with free shipping.
WAY better than the E2, which isn't made in America, like the Equil-i-zer is.

As far as which model, depends on tongue weight/trailer weight.

They also sell the E2, which has half the sway control points and is manufactured overseas, while the Equal-i-zer is made in Utah.

Both are owned by Progess Manufacturing Inc.

We used the Equalizer WDH system on two different TT's over a period of more than 15 years. Highly recommend it. Now we have a 5er.

To close the deal when we bought our TT we ask the sales person to throw in the WDH. I was surprised that they did at no extra cost. Dose not hurt to ask.

Sad to say but you paid for it some where in your deal. Remember, nothing is FREE!

No sadness here hdmtnrider. As long as I felt like I got a good deal it don't matter where that paid for it some where is.

pojp58 you have the right attitude. You never claimed the WDH was "free", you just said it was part of your deal at "no cost". Good on you for strong negotiating skills.

Having spent several decades in the retail sales business, there were hundreds of times when I had to make price concessions for a customer who was well-informed and a strong negotiator, or lose the deal. I never gave away anything for "free", and most of the customers I served came back year after year. That's called good business practice.

Congrats on your 28DBUD. My wife and I have a 2015 and still love it. It has a perfect floor plan (for us anyways). I have an old Reese WDH system. This is the 3rd trailer its been on. First one was my grandparents 88 Sunline, the their 97 Chateau and now the 2015 DBUD. Have fun and enjoy er'.

5885 dry weight, plus 1000 lbs estimate for factory options, dealer options, and all of your gear = 6885 lbs loaded estimate. Estimated 12% TW = 826 lbs.

What is your max tow rating, and TW rating?

From others' experience trying to transfer a lot of weight with the Andersen, I would want double the TW rating of my estimated trailer. In other words, for this trailer, I would want a truck with at least 1650 lbs TW capacity. If actual TW takes more than half the capacity, the rear squats enough that geometrically, the Andersen can not handle adequately.

So, if you have more than 1650 lbs of TW capacity (which would probably come with 16,500 lbs max tow rating?), then you might want to give the Andersen a try. Then again, if you ever wanted to upgrade to a larger trailer, suited to the truck, you might be disappointed.

If your TW capacity is below 1600 or so, skip the Andersen, and get a 10,000 lbs rated Equal-I-zer
