Ford website will let you filter model years and find local dealers with the model year and model you attempting to find. Plus you can visit local dealership's websites and filter the same way.

Nice!

Exact same truck I have except different color.

I bought mine a year ago. Knew the 2017's were changing so I wanted a 2016. Never want a first-model year.... although the larger fuel tanks are tempting!

The diesels are awesome for sure, but a gasser was the right choice for me. No regrets.

I have 10,000 miles on mine after 17 months of ownership.

They garage that flunks your emissions test and refuses to inspect it.

Well for one thing the county where I live does not require emissions testing, so I'll be the only one that knows and I'm not talking

I have a new Ram Cummins dually coming in next month. I don't plan on doing all that delete stuff. However, my '03 cummins had a big improvement in power by just reprogramming the engine. The program could be removed and replaced with "stock" at any time. Is there a similar system available for the '17 model?

Careful. I'm pretty sure they can tell it's been programmed and that's an expensive system.

The dealer can tell if it has ever been programmed for warranty purposes, however setting it back for emissions /resale purposes nobody cares.

Setting it back is just as good as original with regard to the current state. The only reason the dealer cares is so they know the history for warranty claims.

If you set it back and it is doing what it is supposed to do, you are good.

Most people however want it all deleted. It is more reliable and runs better.

Waiting to take delivery on a 2017 1500 Silverado Z71 with the 6.2 L & 8-speed and the Heavy Duty Tow Package. Dealer didn't have the color I wanted so they have to swap with another dealer in the area. Test drove one that is configured the way I want but the wrong color. What a beast! Barely touched the gas pedal and it was flying. We don't tow very much and I need a truck for everyday purposes (work, haulingstuff, etc) plus towing. The SUVs just cost TOO MUCH for the tow capacity. Love my Tahoe but the improved tow rating (12,500 lbs.) gives me some breathing room to upgrade our trailer a bit. A nice feature with the one I bought is the ability to link a rear-view camera on the trailer to the truck's camera system. I remain skeptical about this item, so we'll see. I've had my leg pulled too many times to the point where I have a limp.

Nice choice, I might be trading my 2016 F150 IN for similar truck. Love my Ecoboost but not the payload amount.

That's what I was worried about. My half ton GMC did the towing job for our trailer, but payload was over I'm sure. We are happy so far with the Ford. The next week it will be hooked up to the camper to see how it tows. I'm sure it will do fine.

Congrats on the new truck! The Cummins with the 68RFE and 3:42 is a beast!

Landis... I'd be interested in seeing how you like the F250 Gasser after towing your Flagstaff. I have similar trailer, Flagstaff 27bhws and pulling it with my 2016 F150 eco beast, but after hitting Cat scale over on payload and rear axle. So may be training up to same truck you just got.

I definitely will let you know how we make out.

Thanks, my heads spinning now that I went to CAT scale, since my truck isn't even a year old. BTW nice truck and setup you have.

Well J007, we did a test pull with the gasser, and it did great! I'm sure we will get those hills where it will get tested. But, it ran just fine and towed it like nothing. Very happy with the performance of the 6.2L. If plan on camping full time, I would probably go for the diesel though. Only of your doing it full time. Besides the service end of a diesel is alot more also.

Thanks.. great to hear it went well. I actually test drove a 250 6.2 yesterday and was real nice. Now I just need to see if the numbers work when the salesman gets back to me and I'm not going to take to much of a beating on the F150

I hear that! I was impressed when we test drove ours. Good luck!
