New TV

Ordered a 19 Ram 3500 crew cab 4x4 diesel today. Will be a huge upgrade from my current f150 pulling the travel trailer. At least 1, maybe 2 more trips before it comes in though.

The wait is going to be difficult!

Whoa, that’s a huge jump!

Is there a camper upgrade planned, too?

Nice! Youll really feel that difference. Congrats. I just made the jump to a dually! F350 diesel. Went from F350 SRW due to need for more payload. Now have 5200 lbs!

You won't hardly feel the camper back there at all, compared to your F150!!

Congrats on the new mule!!

Little over kill for the size and weight of tt. Guess you will be upgrading later to a bigger camper. Post pics of the new TV. Later RJD

Nah... You can't hardly ever have "too much" truck. Well, you can, I guess... but you have to go waaaay past a 1 ton dually LOL... Mack, Kenworth, Peterbuilt...

Haha, single rear wheel, didn't go too crazy. The 2500 only has about 2k of payload, feel like I already made that mistake once, so, I wanted to get something big enough to not have to worry about it.

We do plan to upgrade to a fiver in the next few years and the Mrs said I can't have a new truck again for a while. Only had this one 2 years, I think "a while" is quite a bit longer than that.

Thought about the 6.4 with new 8 speed, but, I think want outweighed need on that front. I also worry about longer term resale value on the gasser. Probably a non issue, just helped justify it to myself.

New truck arrived at dealer yesterday. I picked it up today... Got a side by side with the outgoing F150. Loving my new Ram.

Thats a Sharp Truck! I went from a f 150 ECoboost (GREAT truck BTW) to a new 2500 long bed crew cab 4x4 with the 6.4 Hemi.. Kept that for a little over a year and went to a new 2018 3500 CTD of the same Configuration about 8 months ago I think...I Love my truck! Just did my first decent trip with the camper last week. Almost 5 hours to the beach.. Ran 6th gear at about 1700 RPMS and 65 MPH towing near 10K. Had no problem accelerating in 6th, even on some of the minor hills. Was an eye opener.

I recently did the same thing. My F-150 can't get my trailer up the mountain and left me on the side of the road a few times due to overheating on flat-ish terrain. Good truck, but it just doesn't tow well.

I haven't hooked my new 6.7 PSD up to my trailer yet and it's killing me. We just got a bunch of snow this week. Ugh. I think I may get out the trailer this weekend and set up the WDH.

I love knowing that I'll never have to worry about weights, payloads, and such again ... until I start shopping for a 5er some day in the distant future. Going from 1,300 lb payload to 3,600 lb payload makes me giddy.

Hope you enjoy the big step-up.
