Nose high 5'r

Just traded off my 2015 Ram Cummins powered 4X4 2500 SWB CC for the same in a 2018 3500 went from a Resse rail mounted slider to a Curt Q20 slider on an with OEM puck system. I have the hitch in the lowest position and the pin box near the highest position. I plan on moving the pin box up 1 hole to the last hole but I think I will still be about 5-6 inches high in the front. Just a few questions.
Do you recommend installing spacer blocks between the axle and the spring on the 5'r.
How do you determine the height of the block you will need to get the trailer level.
How much is to much spacer.
Thanks

Raised the pin box all the way up which was 1 hole about an inch. I think it's still to high in the nose. About 4 inch difference front to rear.

Looking for input

My axle came flipped. Pin box is all the way up and the hitch head is all the way down. This is a stock height 3500. Measuring the bottom of the frame rail on my 5th wheel I am setting 5 inches higher in the front. What is the best way to address this. Was thinking about two inch blocks. Between the axle and the spring.

How much clearance do you have between the truck and the 5th wheel? 5 to 6 inches is acceptable. I get real concerned about spacers, the higher you jack up the trailer the more stress on the frame and suspension components. Morryde has some suspension components that will lift the trailer some and the kit includes cross bracing.

And the less clearance you have.. When you get taller those bridges seem to get lower..

I measured mine... It's 13'2" to the top of the front AC unit, on the way home I went under an overpass labeled 13'3" 😲😲😲😲😲
Luckily the tech at the dealership had assured me I was "under 13'"

I have this same issue. Once i add air bags and need a inch of height for th bags, i will be sitting more noise high, which i am a hair nose high but been driving good. If i raise ....i am already at 13’4” (supposedly).

I'd have to confirm but I believe it is over 13 6 and toy are at the max height for dot requirements. Bridges are marked when they are under 14ft but that is not guaranteed, especially in the rural areas.

Do have 6 inches between the bed rail and the lowest point on the nose. I am under 12 ft tail according to the spec sheet. Never measured to verify.

I would, like I said my TT grew 6 inches..
The good part is you only get to be over height once.. The bad part is you only get to be over height once.

In my opinion you have the wrong truck. Your 5th wheel is designed to be towed with a 2500 (3/4 ton) truck or even a properly equipped 1/2 ton. Park your 3500 next to a 2500 and you will be about 3 inches taller, now combine this with less sag when loaded and you are about 5 inches high. This is where the weight police pixx me off, they never think, they just keep preaching more truck, well...sometimes more truck just doesn't work. Sorry for the rant but I think it is impossible for you to level up. Maybe it's time for that new Cedar Creek

Never a half ton no matter how it is equipped. As for to much truck. Maybe it's more than I need for my current trailer but maybe not for my future trailer.

Might be a dodge thing but my truck and the 3500 ride the same height, just an overload spring. Dodges do seem to ride high though.

3500 and the 2500 I traded in set real close to the same height. I gained about 1 1/2 height due to less spring deflection and gained about another 1 1/2 with the OEM puck style hitch setup. Not unhappy with my choices at all just wondering if and how to level things out. Took out to Death Valley this past weekend. Towed well.

If someone told me that I had too much truck, I would take it as a compliment. That doesn't seem to happen too often.

Too much truck doesn’t make any sense to me. I have a F350 Super Duty. Although the F250 is rated less there are not many differences. The Springs in the rear, bigger blocks and something different with the brakes, and the 350 is rated to tow more. Dodge i know changes there tuning on the motor from 2500 to 3500. Try to find a good trailer place, that and your own common sense should help work it out. You may never get it 100% level but not sure you need too, You said it towed fine, mine does. I just want it more level, as it seems you do too. Once i bag mine and level the front 1.5 in, i may have to readdress but i want the air bag for the ride.
