Sounds like the 4.30 rear diff is worth the consideration when it comes time to replace my truck

Well worth it no real negative also the camper package for the 250s and with ford lowering the peak torque rpm it is right at the hiway speed range

I was worried about the 4:30's when I purchased my truck but was pleasantly surprised by them. I use my truck as a DD when I'm not towing and the 4:30's don't take away from the drive-ability at all. When directly comparing them with the 3:73's while towing, there is less gear hunting on the hills but the 6.2 is plenty powerful enough to manage regardless. Overall fuel economy is the same while towing with either gear set.
Driving empty as a DD fuel economy drops slightly with the 4:30's.
IMO the 6.2L 6spd with 4:30's is a great combo.

Shame on the dealers who do not know there product with a deep over drive, even with the 4.30s even at 70 mph you are only 300 - 400 rpm more than the 3.73
