Packing the tow vehicle

OK, more questions about towing. Bear in mind I've been driving a C-Class motorhome the last 15 years, and loading wasn't an issue.
When I load the van (Safari), I keep the heavy weight off the very back? and the weight off of the hitch area in the front of the trailer? (Roo 21SS) I travel with 4-6 Bearded Collie dogs and will have dog show paraphenalia. Would it be better to put some weight in a roof top carrier?
Thanx,
Kelly

If you are trying to keep from loading the Roo or if not enough room inside the Van, yes, load the roof top carrier. Keep the load low and spread out over a large area if possible.
