Went and pulled my Dads new rig back from Michigan to Arkansas for him today. 700 miles today. I hit 1400 since yesterday morning.

New member of the family

Well, after 2500 miles in 3 days, the wife and I are still married, the kids survived, and the dog did not jump out of the window. Busy now adding mods and making ready for our first trip in two weeks!

If you don't already, check out GasBuddy app. My copilot will search for the best fuel stops while enroute. Every bit helps.
So funnily enough- diesel in Georgia was $2.59. Diesel in South Carolina was the cheapest I've *ever* bought it at $1.79.

That's what I mean. And if your getting 100+ gallons that would be a $80 difference.

Yeah, that was the first that I really noticed it. I was shocked at such a price swing AND got lucky as I got fuel on the better side of that!

Good score this time on your part. That means you have some extra money now!

And if you had more capacity you would of saved even more money. I'm sure fuel is going to be higher where you're going.

Let me guess. I-85 around Gaffney, SC? Usually as cheap as anywhere I see traveling back and forth to our races.

No idea honestly. We were coming from Jacksonville, FL and headed to Johns Island, SC.

The thing is- I don't typically know where I am at any given moment. It's a unique life when you wake up and not only don't know what campground you're in, but have to debate what STATE you're in.

Sounds like a lower SC I-95 spot. Good for you all.

Since my truck is diesel powered I take note of fuel prices as I travel for work. Yesterday I paid $1.79, 10 miles down the road it was $2.19, get towards Atlanta you'll see $2.59.

Nearly a dollar swing over the course of 50 miles. It's nuts, and you would think that stations would be more consistent considering I've got two apps on my phone that tells me fuel prices in nearly real time.

Good score there, I am sure you will spend the difference elsewhere.

Hang on, it gets bumpy on that bandwagon.
Kinda like a hot water heater. Why would anyone buy a hot water heater when the water is already hot? Maybe they need a "Water Heater"???

Lowest I saw in the past 6months in NJ was $1.59, and how are you guys getting more than 37 gallons? Do you have helper tanks in your beds?

Latest Tow Vehicle

Just got back from Cheatham Lake Lock and Dam campground on the Cumberland River between Clarksville and Ashland City, TN. This is one of our most favorite Corps of Engineers camping spots. Lots of water birds and great fishing along it's banks. Lots of friendly locals use this on weekends, so reserve early.

That's one my father always said. Someone would be mid story about a "hot water heater" and he'd say why would you want heat hot water? Usually they just stopped talking with the deer in the headlights look. Classic.
