I have seen rear wall separation from sidewalls (fiberglass) due to someone having a generator mounted to their bumper with on of the 4” receiver hitch shelf, mechanic told them the constant bouncing and flexing was the cause. My bumper has a sticker void warranty if anything non factory attached.

I'll get back to you on that after I log some highway miles. Ford had the ultimate camera, and bigger back seat area for the kids. Those were certainly two of the factors. I'm still a fan of the Duramax.

How do we know how the bike rack is attached? He OP may have it setup so there is little or no weight on the bumper.
Also how do you know that it is not a adequate vehicle for the TT? Do you know the model of TT? There are ones that are in the towing capacity of the traverse. I will agree it does look big and looking at specs of most they are heavy but until we know why jump to the conclusion that this person is ignoring safety and endangering people.
I just think we need more information of the setup and then go from there and educate people instead of pointing the finger from the start.

Thanks.. I have a sob 5er and a 2011 2500hd duramax 4x4. Wanting to go to a dual wheel just because I think I need it .. not for power but piece of mind.. My trailer is advertised at 2270 pin and around 13000 total empty. Almost everyone says the manf. numbers are light.. I really like the LTZ but they are sure proud of those trucks.

I pulled a Roo 19 a few times with a Traverse, then got 1/2 ton. No way I'd ever pull his rig with a Traverse. I'm pretty certain he's over specs.

I have the 183 and a traverse and it pulls for the most part fine. I do know what you are saying that’s for sure. I wouldn’t pull that rig either with a traverse. You do get pushed and pulled a little more than what I expected but it works for us now. I’m not saying the OP is not not overloaded. I’m just saying that lately it seems people are quick to point out things before they know. Just saying.

When I bought my Roo, I was smart enough to know dry weights were forsuckers, but I was ignorant about payload. "Weight less than tow capacity? You're good to go!". LOL.

The first setup: 2016 Cherokee Sport with the 3.2L and a 2017 Coachmen Clipper 17FQS
The Cherokee was within spec, except the frontage. Took it on a couple of trips, and it was pretty good, until I started dealing with crosswind, then it was a white knuckle drive.
So, I put a 2016 Ram Rebel in front of it. The truck handled it extremely well, but watching that single axle bounce around over bumps/potholes was brutal. The ultralight was built way too light, and we were going out as often as we could for weekend trips. The trailer didn't seem like it would hold up long term, and with the really low cargo capacity, we knew it wouldn't cut it. We learned a lot from 6 camping trips about ourselves and what we wanted in a trailer.
This is new setup. Trailer is a Coachmen Freedom Express 248RBS. I haven't taken it over the scales yet, but we don't put any gear in the truck (apartment dwellers, no room for lots of gear), so with the weight distribution we are right at, or possibly just above, payload, but still under the axle ratings. It tows like a dream, much more stable, and this combo is sticking around for a while.
