This truck is the F150 7700 series. Basically a F250 in sheeps clothing. 5.4 V8, big tranny with extra cooling and 3:73 gears. It has been a great truck for as long as I have owned it.

Got air bags on it so I can balance out the load on the truck. Then I hook up the trailer and set the WD hitch. Tires are LT235/85R16 10 ply inflated to 85psi. Total package scaled out at 16,500#.

Pulled a steep mountain grade climbing from the valley floor to the high pines with no problems.

BTW I am a Master Rated ASE certified mechanic and keep my small fleet in tip top shape.

Woops - big typo mistake. Weighed it out at around 12,500# still plenty heavy but I can go up to 14,000# with this setup.

Our new Travel Trailer hitched to my Runner connected using a ProPride #1000 hitch. I was concerned about trailer sway due to the short wheelbase of the Runner, but this hitch setup took all my worries away.

It is hard to tell from your photo, but I think the saftey chains are supposed to go inbetween the spring bars, not on the outside of them.

I use a Reese Revolution hitch on mine it works great, does not make contact with the cab. Can turn 90 degrees without a problem..

Still Hooked Up

Since returning from Goshen, we never bothered to un-hitch Bertha, figured we would be on the road again soon anyhow.

Nice! I was going to say that looked like a Hensley... Then I Googled it.
What do they cost now? Still around $2,400?
It looks like you have a lot better ground clearance than a dual-cam.

Just returning from camping the ENTIRE weekend in the rain. The only time it wasn't raining was just getting home, but that didn't last long. Still had a good time though. But still raining! But here she is all hooked up.
