Really nice setup. I considered an enclosed trailer but the open flat has been working out.

My mom came across a deal on this 5th wheel. It's vintage, but it was $500. The only problem was it's location. Tested my towing skills to the limits. It took 3 hrs to get it out of its spot, but my mom is happy as can be about it. She's now camping for the first time at a state park.

Here in NC the use a farm tractor with a 5TH wheel hitch on back of them. I have seen them get the 5er's in some tight spots.

When looking for a place to snowbird sometime ago I was told we would need to drop the 5er out front and they would use a tractor to position it on site. Also with opposing slides we may not be able to fully extend the awning. Being that tight it was no place for us to spend 3 months.

That sounds like the Red Coconut RV Park on Fort Myers beach. Just couldn't see me dropping our unit in the street and them moving it.
