Pro Series Friction Sway Control

One of these came with my Roo 21SS along with the weight distribution system. The previous owner me that basically he put it on in just before entering a highway and took it off after exiting the highway. Is this correct or can I use it around town? I do know it must be removed to back up. What's best practice?

Either way is perfectly fine. You don't really need it around town, but the main reason a lot of folks will remove that type of sway bar once off the highway is because they can be reaaallllyyyy noisy. The metal on metal friction is needed for it to work properly, but it can sound like a stuck pig when making turns.

You can use it around town. Its not really needed, but its fine to leave it on. It is possible to bend the sway bar if you make a really sharp turn, as well as when backing up with it. The tech that installed and set up ours told me the same thing - just use it on the highway. I don't make a special stop just to take it on or off. If at a gas station or other stop, I might take it off if were are close to our destination. Otherwise I just wait until we stop to check-in at the campground and take it off.
