I mounted 2 strong magnets to the handle, It has never fallen off of the steel part of the fifth wheel. And i can put it where ever is handy. Another bonus, is that you don't have to drill any holes in your camper, which to me is just another spot that moisture can due damage.

I've been moving it around on the pin box, looking for just the right spot.
I used magnets too, never had a problem and no holes!

Seems the magnets are pretty well represented.
I don't have the Andersen but my brother does and he uses magnets too.

Hopefully the Harbor Freight impact sockets fare better because If they can’t handle 40 ft lbs. I sure would want to put them on an impact.

1” and 6” bits are plentiful. The 1” bit is too short (needs to be
1 5/8” minimum length)

I have a 6” bit but as mentioned above it twists a lot when torquing.

I still don’t get the T-handle/torque wrench discussion.

Where did you guys find the correct bit length?

I guess you weren't the only one. Amazon recommends these three items!

I picked up a set of impact sockets from Harbor Freight that are long enough and should take quite a bit more than the 6" long sockets.

That's too funny because I ended up doing exactly the same thing.

I used a Proto hex socket and it's the perfect length 1-5/8", and being that it's Proto it's plenty strong enough.

It came home today. Click image for larger version

I did notice something I didn’t have with the travel trailer. It’s kind of like there is slack in hitch with what feels like front to back movement.

That doesn't sound right. There's absolutely no slack/no chucking in mine.

My brother says the same.
No clunks or chunks.

It doesn’t occurs when you’d think it would which kind baffles me. I’m going to run through everything again to make sure everything is properly torqued

Make especially sure that you torque the top bolt first the then the side bolts. And make sure the side bolts are loose before torquing the top one.

The instructions call for 50 lb/ft but I torque mine to 60 lb/ft.

My instructions say 40 ft-lbs but their You Tube video says 60 on both top and side bolts. I split the difference at 50. I have to wonder if I’m not hitting overload springs

I’m also wondering it’s at the goose ball.
