Would the Andersen hitch be a good fit?
If you want to waste time and money.

Buy a nice, simple adjustable height ball hitch and go camping.

Yes it would, if not just for the anti-sway portion of it.

We were pulling a 3,750 lb trailer (380 lb loaded TW) with our GMC 2500HD Duramax and an Andersen No-Sway and it made pulling on the interstate nice, especially with semis passing.

We now use the same hitch while pulling our 4,500 lb trailer (675 lb loaded TW). I prefer how it pulls with the hitch over nothing at all.

As far as time/trouble, the Andersen is quick, easy, light weight and does an excellent job with sway control.

When we upgrade to our new 1-ton SRW, we'll continue to use the Andersen hitch.

Agree w/others. It's better to have one to reduce the chance of sway . I used one with our old pop-up for years.
