RVSmitty,

I'm this entire fiasco, you have never once told us what the payload is. You have said tow ratings, but you dropped to silence on the most important fact... Payload. It does feel as if you stopped responding, I'm guessing that is because you don't like the responses your getting? Please don't be offended, we are actually trying to help you out.

Call the dealer, ask them to open the driver's door and take pictures of the yellow sticker and text them to you. This should be no big deal for them. And then for the first time you can respond to us with that fact, and you'll also discover the severe limitations (or not?) of that truck.

Or, I guess you can be offended, go silent, dislike the truth and go buy that truck and trailer with blinders over your eyes and move on with life.

Not true on the statement of the rear axle limit being about 1000lbs over the payload rating. My 2017 Ram 1500 standard cab 8' bed has 1670lbs payload on the yellow sticker and 3900lbs rear axle limit. Crew cab higher optioned trucks could have much less payload but all 4th gen 1500 Rams have a 3900lb rated rear axle.

I'm talking about the 2500s, and what I meant was I have heard of people getting the overload warning, but they were 1000 lbs over the payload rating, and the total rear axle weight at the time was around the rear axle weight rating. I did not mean the axle weight rating is 1000 lbs over payload.
