Ram Mega Cab with Ram Box 5th wheel towing

We are looking at purchasing a Dodge Ram 2500 Mega Cab with the Ram Box. When we asked the dealer if we could get the 5th Wheel prep, they said yes, but we could not do a drop ball. Why is that? Does anyone have experience with 5th wheel towing with the Ram Box Option?

I have a RAM 3500 mega cab with ram boxes. I pull a 378FB Sierra using a Reese 5th wheel hitch with a sidewinder. In two years and some 20,000 miles towing I have had not problems.

Thank you for the reply. Do you prefer the Reese over the drop ball? This will be our first adventure doing 5th wheeling
